Originating from Conyers, Georgia, Rob Nunnery had a successful tennis career that led to his seamless transition into pickleball. Nunnery played on the UNC Asheville tennis team, where he was a two-time first team All-Big South player, two-year team captain, and two-time UNCA student-athlete of the year.
When Nunnery picked up a pickleball paddle for the first time in 2019, he was determined to turn professional by the end of 2020. He did exactly that, becoming a top-ranked player. Since joining Team Selkirk in January 2023, Rob has achieved a career-best year, winning seven gold, four silver, and two bronze finishes on the APP Tour.
Off the court, Rob recently relocated to the sunny shores of Kihei, Hawaii, and has been co-hosting “It Feels Right” podcast, a pickleball-focused podcast that launched in 2022.
